Important update for the ETL rate class
As your community-owned utility, we’re committed to keeping rates fair, equitable and sufficient. And, we take seriously our responsibility to notify you of any changes to your base rates. Here’s the latest information on the Industrial Time of Day 1,000 kWh/Day Min (ETL) rate class.
A recent review has revealed a revenue shortfall in the ETL rate class for the past several years. Based on the Utilities Board Finance Committee’s recommendation, on April 20 the Utilities Board directed us to file a 4 percent increase to the ETL rate in May, to take effect July 1, 2016. A second rate increase, not to exceed 12.5 percent, is expected to go into effect on Jan. 1, 2017. Click here to read more.
|Breaking ground on new solar array
On April 5, we took the next progressive step to reduce our community’s carbon footprint by celebrating the groundbreaking of a 10-megawatt solar array. Truly fitting considering we are also celebrating Earth Month.
This is a very exciting renewable energy project for us in that it is our first solar array that is for the benefit of all our customers. Once complete later this fall, the array will generate enough clean, renewable power for approximately 3,000 homes per year.
Gas and water info added to service outage map
|If you’re familiar with our online outage map and/or mobile app, you know already know that you can report and follow electric outages in our community on your computer or right in the palm of your hand.|
If you haven’t looked at it recently, however, what you might not know is that you can now view natural gas and water outages too! A little, yellow flame represents natural gas outages and a water drop is for water outages. Details about the outages, such as the number of customers affected and an estimated time for restoration, can be seen by clicking on the icons.
